25.6V Self-Heating Battery with Soft-Start and On/Off Button (Group 4D)

• The Battery 24V 100AH ABS Self-Heating LFP Solar Storage at 4D format from Volthium is custom-made for the clientele of cottages and autonomous homes.

  The battery is designed for solar storage banks ranging from 5kWh to 20kWh.

  These batteries have the particularity of having an accessible and reserved chamber for the BMS, which makes them repairable if needed, and helps to extend the life of the cells by limiting the transfer of heat to them. Moreover, a private chamber allows increasing the usable temperature range of these batteries.

  This new generation of battery also comes with a button, which allows disabling the discharge, while still authorizing recharge. Extremely convenient when the client wants to leave the batteries connected to the solar system during storage, eliminating the worry that they will be drained by parasitic discharges.

  This brand new battery, whose casing is exclusive to Volthium, has 2x RJ45 ports allowing communication over the RS485 protocol. This connection also serves to transmit the internal information of the batteries to the Victron environment (on their VE.CAN protocol). To do this, get the Volthium HUB accessory, another exclusive stemming from our internal and exclusive development.

  Moreover, the RJ45 connection allows you to add the Volthium Bluetooth transmitter, capable of managing 4 batteries when the transmitter is paired with the HUB.

  Not only does this LiFePO4 accumulator withstand vibrations, but it also has a superior discharge range compared to the competition. Indeed, this battery can be discharged down to -25 degrees, instead of -20 degrees for the competition, and it can be recharged down to -40 degrees. This innovation is due to the fact that the cells in Volthium batteries come from the automotive industry.

  Exclusive Double Self-Heating Technology

  Be aware that the battery is equipped with two internal heating systems. The traditional intelligent system activates when you apply a charge to the battery while it is below zero. The second system, called manual; engages when you apply voltage to the battery's positive H+ (M6) connector. This heating system, called manual; is not automated in any way. If you connect the battery's positive terminal (M8) to the H+ (M6) connector of the battery with a small piece of wire, it will activate using the battery's energy.
  * Caution, it is necessary to use a timer to avoid forgetting to turn off the heating.
  * The manual heating system is reserved for professionals and works down to -25 only.

The programming and communication protocols are entirely developed by our engineers, in Quebec.

  Cells:

  The quality of the LFP cells is paramount. Indeed, it is what ensures that you have a durable product whose long-term performance will be reliable.

  The ABS 24V solar storage batteries are equipped with prismatic GRADE A+ cells, manufactured by the Volkswagen Group.
